Midlands and North West chartered surveyors group Berrys continues to expand despite the recession with a further key appointment to its utilities department.
Elliw Mostyn join the utilities team at Northwich led by Peter Baron working on compulsory purchase and compensation issues.
Elliw joins Berrys from Harper Adams University College following completion of an HND in Rural Enterprise and Land Management. She is fluent in both English and Welsh and is available for translation with Welsh clients. She is an active member of the YFC, and played for the North Wales U21 rugby team.
“Following not only survival but growth through the economic difficulties which have seen the collapse of a number of our competitors, the Berrys brand is going from strength to strength,” explained Graham Bowcock, Berrys partner at Northwich.
“A number of our specialist teams have expanded over the last year to further enhance the quality of the service we provide. The utilities department is one area which has seen a high level of success, providing compulsory purchase and compensation services to a wide range of satisfied, high profile clients.
“The high level of client satisfaction has increased the workload and Elliw, having spent her placement year with United Utilities, brings valued experience within this area of work and her Welsh speaking capability will help give us the edge over a large number of our competitors.
“This specialist department continues to grow and we are recruiting for a further utilities practitioner,” he added.
Berrys has also expanded its planning department. Operating from the Shrewsbury and Kettering offices, the specialist planning team contains a number of agricultural and commercial practitioners whose combined experience can deal with all aspects of planning in all fields.
