Will Aylott is the new sales manager at The International Centre, Telford

An event industry specialist with a wealth of experience is the new sales manager at a Midlands venue.

Will Aylott has joined the team at The International Centre, Telford, after previous roles at two well-known convention centres.

At the ICC in Birmingham, Will was responsible for the venue’s corporate business strategy and business development. He also brought in £3 million of income per year through the venue’s rental, catering and technical services departments.

He has also worked at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry where he developed and managed the sales team, and handled the relationship between operating partners and on-site clients.

“I’m very pleased to have joined such a professional and forward-thinking team here at Telford, and I’m looking forward to building on the excellent reputation the venue already has,” said Will.

“It’s an exciting time for The International Centre which has seen a brisk increase in business since the opening of its newest events suite following a £10 million redevelopment.

“And with the ambitious plans to create a brand new convention quarter right outside the venue under way, it’s the start of a whole new era for us and for the destination as a whole.”
