Phase Vision will be bringing its range of innovative non-contact 3D measurement solutions to the ADVANCED ENGINEERING UK Exhibition, 7-8 November at the NEC (stand 902).

ADVANCED ENGINEERING UK 2012 features three distinct exhibitions: Aero Engineering ( where the Phase Vision stand is located), Automotive Engineering and Composites Engineering.

The Phase Vision Quartz Scanner uses patented SmartFringe structured light technology to offer flexibility across applications and industry sectors, with a measurement envelope range from 300mm x 300mm up to 2.2m x 2.2m (these sizes are for single measurements, multiple scans can be used for larger components), and a robust, portable, factory-proof design. The opportunity for increased measurement efficiencies in a production environment is therefore available to manufacturers of very large components, such as airframe structures. The Quartz Scanner’s patented optics and software algorithms deliver further flexibility in terms of the successful measurement of optically “challenging” surfaces such as composites, and tolerating varied ambient lighting conditions.

Phase Vision has teamed up with the leading providers of 3D analysis software; EGS Leios 2, Polyworks Inspection & Reverse Engineer, Geomagic Studio & Qualifier and Rapidform XOR / XOV / XOS are all fully compatible with the Quartz Scanner, and between them offer a complete suite of inspection and reverse engineering tools to match the user’s requirements.

Phase Vision now offers a full Contract Measurement Service which can provide a fast, efficient solution for manufacturing users wishing to address a quality problem or other measurement requirement as an immediate or temporary priority.
