Will Smith

Will Smith has joined Deloitte in Nottingham as Partner and Head of Audit, bolstering the audit team in the region to a total of four partners – a reflection of growing demand for its services.

Smith, who previously spent 14 years at Deloitte in Manchester, will also manage Deloitte’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) industry group in the East Midlands, advising on challenges linked to decreased technology spending, industry convergence and new management strategies.

Commenting on his appointment and the strengthening of the team in Nottingham, Smith said:

“Deloitte in Nottingham has seen continued growth, even in the current tough economic climate, and this has triggered a need for a fourth audit partner to meet demand for our services. I am delighted to have been able to make this move to lead the team.

“There is a clear demand for local, on-the-ground insight, and I am very much looking forward to working with the existing team to continue providing this specialised service, whilst getting to know our client base in the region. I gained robust experience in Manchester assisting companies in a challenging yet thriving and competitive environment, which I look forward to continuing in the East Midlands.”
