The Basement Project is a daytime drop-in and outreach support service which provides information and practical and emotional support for young people who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. The service is run by qualified youth workers with the help of volunteers and also provides access to cooking and washing facilities.
Elaine Beaumont, Basepoint Bromsgrove’s Centre Manager, comments: “We are delighted to be able to present this cheque to The Basement Project. It is fantastic to support a local charity as well as work alongside the local community and raise funds to help people have a roof over their head.”
Carole Hill, Office Manager from The Basement Project, adds: “We are most grateful to Basepoint Bromsgrove for their support. The money donated by them will enable us to continue to deliver our service to young people in the area.”
