BowlesAssociates has kicked off its relationship with the League Managers Association in style – with a winning, new-look issue of the Manager magazine.

The Nottingham-based communications agency has landed a prestigious contract to develop the quarterly publication of the LMA – and immediately scored with an eye-catching cover story on high-flying Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew.

Recognised as one of the country’s premier leadership and management publications, the Manager combines elite sport and business and is read by members of the LMA, key football figures across the European game and decision-makers in sport.

BowlesAssociates’ managing director Sam Bowles said: “We’re delighted about forging this new relationship, not only because we feel we can help develop an established product but also because the LMA have made it clear that this is a partnership and we will work together to create a print and digital magazine with a global reach.

“The LMA are a hugely influential organisation within sport in this country and we’re excited to be asked to represent the views of professional football managers through a magazine that illustrates great leadership and delivers insight and inspiration.”

The latest issue is supported by a host of other exclusive interviews and business features, and LMA chief executive Richard Bevan said: “We are firmly committed to moving it forward and this is our best issue to date.”

He added: “BowlesAssociates has a growing reputation within sport and we believe that we can work with them to make the Manager a world-class publication.”
