A team of solicitors from SGH Martineau are set to descend from
the great heights of Birmingham's iconic Wesleyan building in aid
of charity.
On March 10, the team - comprising of SGH Martineau Private
Capital Group members Mary Kaye, Hugh Carslake, Zahra Pabani,
Claire Darley, Michelle Gavin, Stephen Atkinson, and trainee
solicitors Imogen Francis and Justine Ball - will abseil 100ft down
the building to raise money for local charity Acorn's Children's
Hospice.
The event is being organised by Birmingham Law Society, for
which Mary Kaye is Vice President, and is the organisation's first
ever charity abseil.
Speaking on the challenge ahead, Mary Kaye commented: "It is
important to both Birmingham Law Society and SGH Martineau to
support our local charities. Acorns Children's Hospice does such
great work in providing free specialist care and support to
children and young people in and around Birmingham who have life
limiting or life threatening conditions. But they cannot provide
this without the help from us; the public.
"Organising an event like this abseil will be a fantastic way to
raise money for such a deserving cause. It will be challenging -
particularly for those of us afraid of heights - but it will be
small in comparison to the challenges faced by those children for
whom the charity campaigns. We're looking forward to being able to
make a very valuable contribution, so we need your sponsors!"
The team will be raising money for the event via their

greatly appreciate all supporting donations to help their
cause.
