A famous Staffordshire pub will play host to men in kilts,
knights in armour, leprechauns, onion-sellers and leeks for the
next six weeks.
The Swan with Two Necks in Longdon will be showing all Six
Nations Rugby games on its newly-installed plasma screen, and
anyone who turns up dressed as a knight, a leprechaun or a leek, or
wears a kilt, will get a half-price meal.
The cut-price food deal will apply to anyone who turns up in
English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish, Italian or French fancy dress for
any of the games. The fun starts this Saturday for the
passionately-fought Calcutta Cup match between Scotland and England
and will continue for all games in the six-week tournament.
Local businessman Neil Morten who took over the pub last year
said he wanted to put some fun into watching the games
"I'm passionate about Rugby myself, and the Six Nations always
brings out national pride, so the Swan with Two Necks will be the
place watch all the games and have a lot of fun at the same time -
plus a cheap meal" he said.
