Law firm MFG Solicitors have signalled their intention to grow
the firm's equine legal offering in 2012 with the appointment of a
specialist lawyer.
As part of the strategic move, Hannah Farmer has joined the
Shropshire firm as an assistant solicitor from Yorkshire solicitors
Dickinson Dees.
An experienced horsewoman, Hannah will play a pivotal role in
carving out a niche equine practice for the firm as they look to
develop their already reputable rural services.
Yorkshire-born Hannah will work alongside partners Sarah Baugh
and Tom Devey within the firm's rural and agricultural
division.
Commenting on Hannah's appointment, Sarah Baugh said: "We
already have an established rural affairs practice but Hannah's
appointment will strengthen the portfolio of services we offer
rural clients.
"She comes to MFG with a wide personal knowledge of the equine
sector. That familiarity will be vital as we look to grow our
equine practice through a tailored range of legal services and
professional guidance.
"Building on our established rural reputation, Hannah will be
working hard to promote our equine expertise in livery agreements,
land acquisitions, bloodstock sales, disputes and many other
areas.
"The next 12 months are shaping up to be a year full of
opportunities for the firm and our growth plans."
Ms Farmer added: "I have been given a fantastic opportunity here
at MFG. I am looking forward to playing my part in establishing the
firm's name across the equine industry, whilst also contributing to
the general growth of the rural affairs side.
"The equine sector plays an important economic role across the
UK which means that the country's breeders, owners and equestrian
centres require the best possible legal advice. That's something
MFG can now offer."
