A Midland legal firm has secured membership into the Law
Society's respected 'Conveyancing Quality Scheme' (CQS).
MFG Solicitors, who have offices across Worcestershire and
Shropshire, was awarded the coveted status after undergoing a
series of strict assessments and procedure reviews.
Launched in January 2011, the CQS is a mark of excellence
awarded to law firms in recognition of their outstanding
contribution and consistently high levels of conveyancing advice.
The nationwide scheme aims to help homebuyers identify a quality
conveyancing provider.
Peter Simner, partner within the residential conveyancing
division at MFG Solicitors, said: "We are extremely proud to become
one of only a small number of law firms in the region to achieve
CQS membership.
"It's an ongoing process which will help us maintain a high
level of service and ensure we remain part of what we see as the
trusted conveyancing community."
Mr Simner, a partner at MFG for over 20 years, added: "We have
always been delighted with our track record in providing the
highest standard of advice and this recognition underlines the
quality of our conveyancing services and the trust people are
placing in us.
"I hope clients will recognise the CQS as a trusted mark of
excellence when they are looking to select legal support for their
home purchase or sale - at time which is often a stressful time for
many."
Law Society President John Wotton, commented: "CQS improves
efficiency with common, consistent standards and service levels and
enables consumers to recognise practices that provide a quality
residential conveyancing service.
"Buying a home is one of the largest purchases anyone will make
in their lifetime, so it is essential that it is done to the
highest standard."
The scheme requires practices to undergo a strict assessment,
compulsory training, self reporting, random audits and annual
reviews in order to maintain CQS status. It is open only to members
of the Law Society who meet the demanding standards set by the
scheme and has the support of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the
Building Societies Association, Legal Ombudsman and the Association
of British Insurers.
