City estate agent Andy Hiseman says he is 'running like a demon'
as he trains for this year's London Marathon in April.
Andy can be spotted pounding the streets of Barbourne in his
mission to complete the event in four-and-a-half hours for St
Richard's Hospice, and says his fitness regime and special diet has
left him feeling as fit as a fiddle.
Andy, who is 48, is a partner in the lettings department of
Worcester estate agents Andrew Grant as well as a member of the
Barflys, a popular Jazz band that regularly supports charity
events.
"Although I have run three or four times a week for years this
will be my first marathon. I have upped the carbs and protein and I
am relishing the challenge. I am delighted to support such a worthy
local cause as St Richard's," said Andy.
"I am also doing it for the connections that Andrew Grant has as
a company with St Richard's. Having lived in the city for 30 years
I feel supporting such a great local charity can only be good for
Worcester."

St Richard's Hospice provides free specialist palliative care
for patients living with cancer and other life-threatening
illnesses and supports their families. Each year the hospice team
supports over 2,200 patients and family members in
Worcestershire.
Patients are cared for in Day Hospice, the 16-bed In-patient
Unit or in their own homes by a specialist professional team as
well as many trained volunteers.
In the In-patient Unit specialist staff are on hand 24 hours a
day to manage patients' symptoms and where, if they so choose,
patients may spend the last few days of life in comfort and
dignity. St Richard's is grateful for all donations towards the
£5.4m they need to raise this year to continue their
work.
