New Century Windows Ltd has expanded its factory in Nottingham
and taken a 40,000 sq ft unit in Poulton Drive, in a deal secured
by Innes England.
The Nottingham property agency acted on behalf of its client
ISIS Waterside Regeneration, to let the industrial unit, which is
located just one mile from the city centre. New Century Windows
already has a factory on Daleside Road where it manufactures its
own glass and window products, the company has now extended its
facility on to Poulton Drive to accommodate the new machinery it
requires.
New Century Windows was set up in 1997 in Mansfield . The
company originally supplied UPVC windows, doors and conservatories
to the construction industry, and was run from a 2,000 sq ft
industrial unit, manufacturing 60 windows a week. Now, the firm
employs around 100 people across both of its sites and on average,
produces 800 windows, 1,500 sealed units and 20 conservatory roofs
a week.
The newest products the company has started to manufacture
include aluminium bi-folding doors, shop fronts and curtain walling
for commercial projects. The firm has also started to manufacture
composite doors ,which is the newest trend in front and back door
replacement.
Rob Cassidy, managing director of New Century Windows says:
"From our humble beginnings in Mansfield, we've already grown
significantly. After Mansfield, we opened a unit in Netherfield,
but now we are expanding the range of products we manufacture
ourselves, we have moved the Netherfield site in to Poulton Drive.
We needed more space to accommodate the new machinery we needed,
but felt the unit in Poulton Drive was ideal due to its location.
When we thought about growing, we knew we wanted to take additional
space on the back of our current factory. This will also allow our
planned investment for 2012 to take place"
Craig Straw of Innes England says: "This is the sixth property
on the Daleside Road estate we have let on behalf of ISIS Waterside
Regeneration and shows that the demand for well located industrial
units available on flexible terms is still there. Daleside Road has
the dual benefits of being one of the main arterial routes in to
Nottingham and only one mile from the city centre."
"It's great to be able to help facilitate the expansion of
locally grown business such as New Century Windows. Innes England
has now let in excess of 75,000sqft on this estate which has gone
to a combination of expanding local businesses, a new start up
business and, like this latest letting, expansion for local
occupiers."
