Birmingham digital agency Traffic has launched a new website for
New Forest Cider.
New Forest Cider is an independent, traditional cider producer
based in Hampshire. The company has been producing cider for over
20 years, supplying major retail chains including Waitrose from its
traditional fermenting base in Burley in The New Forest.
The new website incorporates a contemporary creative theme
whilst retaining key elements of the brand's heritage.
Visitors can purchase a variety of ciders including popular
brands such as New Forest Traditional and Kingston Black and can
book accommodation at the farm for short breaks and holidays. A
blog section encourages visitors to comment on a variety of real
ale and cider-making topics.
The site has been built on Magento, a secure and easy-to-use
e-commerce platform.
A Facebook page has been set up to engage customers with the
brand and to encourage visitors to take part in competitions.
Promotional offers will be available in return for 'Likes' and
e-newsletter sign ups. Twitter is being used to link to new content
and help with brand development.
Commenting on the new website, Mary Topp, Business Development
Manager at New Forest Cider said:
"Part of our business development strategy is to engage our
audience in every aspect of the New Forest Cider brand - from our
cider products to our fermenting facility and holiday
accommodation. The new site gives us a great platform to achieve
this. The look and feel is contemporary whilst acknowledging our
traditions and heritage and the interactive elements will enable us
to get closer to existing and new customers"
Phil Elwell, Director at Traffic said:
"It's been a fascinating project for us as we've learned a lot
about the process of traditional cider making as well as building
the new website. New Forest Cider already has a strong allegiance
in and around the Home Counties and now we're looking forward to
creating a national brand presence."
