A promising student with an interest in business has had his
outstanding academic achievements recognised with an award from
Halesowen-based chartered accountancy firm Nicklin LLP.
Mandeep Johal achieved A grades in his A-level exams in
economics, accountancy and pure maths with statistics at King
Edward VI College, in Stourbridge. He is now studying economics and
management at Aston University.
He has been honoured for his achievements with the Nicklin Prize
for Accountancy, which is presented each year to a promising
accountancy student from the sixth form college. Mandeep received a
cheque for £40 and a certificate signed by the principal,
Sharon Phillips.
Chris Cook, a partner at Nicklins, said: "As a firm, we have
long been committed to engaging with our local community and that
includes recognising the achievements of hard-working students such
as Mandeep.
"On behalf of everyone at Nicklins, I would like to congratulate
Mandeep on his success and wish him all the best in his future
studies and career plans. I am sure he will go far."
