The Flying Horse walk attracts trendy tenant

A new store has strutted in to The Flying Horse Walk, and is the second new tenant in a matter of months for the Nottingham shopping mall in a deal secured by FHP.

The arcade has welcomed Trendyfeel, a mid-high end fashion store, which specialises in women's accessories such as designer jewellery, handbags, belts and scarves and fragrances. The store is a new venture which has been set up by owner Bei Bei Liu. This is the second letting at The Flying Horse walk since it was acquired by London & County (Nottingham LLP) in September.

The London-based property investment and development group has already reverted back to the original name of The Flying Horse Walk from the FH Mall.

Miss Liu said: "I am very excited to have joined The Flying Horse Walk. I have been planning to open my own boutique for a while now, but I had a very specific idea on how I wanted it to be and what I wanted to sell. My aim is to provide a wide range of accessories and gifts around the world that are unique to Nottingham and have an element of quirkiness to them. I want people to come to my store, because they know they will be able to get something very different.

"When I was choosing a location for my shop, I wanted a base that would fit with my range and like my product, was a bit different. The Walk is perfect. It is already home to a number of unique independents, who have a loyal customer base. I also think that the location is great - as we will get a lot of passing trade as people cross to either end of the city."

Simon Blair of London & County says: "This letting is really positive news for the Nottingham retail scene. Not long before Christmas we also let another unit to George Thornton Art and already have other potentials in the pipeline, so it shows that retailers are definitely seeing the benefit of the arcade. We really value independent retailers, and feel that is gives us something unique to offer Nottingham shoppers."

Other occupiers in the arcade include The Cheese Shop, Atomic, Whitewall Gallery, Canopy, Berketex, Ann Harvey, Inspired, Sugacane and independent fashion retailer Frocks & Rocks.

Frankie Labbate of FHP said: "It is great to welcome another unique tenant to The Flying Horse Walk. The fact that this is the second store to be taken at The Walk in such a short space of time shows that there is real demand for the units and particularly, this location."
