A Midland law firm has assembled a list of distinguished
speakers to mark ten years of its specialist construction
seminars.
Leamington solicitors Wright Hassall launched its Law Bytes
programme in 2002 with the aim of bringing together people from all
areas of the construction industry to discuss topical issues.
These issues can be anything from new projects to changes in the
industry that will have a wide-reaching impact - plus an annual
legal update from the head of the firm's construction department,
Philip Harris.
Former speakers include Sir Michael Latham, Sir John Egan, Bank
of England Agents, and legal experts such as Tony Bingham.
This year's programme of events kicks off on Friday, February 3
with a look at Birmingham's newest landmark The Cube and the chance
to hear from the director of the project Neil Edginton.
Other speakers already lined-up to speak later in the year
include Professor Rudi Klein, Simon Dingle from Carillion - the
firm behind the new Birmingham Library - and Graeme Chaplin from
the Bank of England.
Harris said: "We have been lucky enough to have some excellent
speakers at our Law Bytes events over the past ten years.
"This has been a big factor in the success and longevity of the
events and long may it continue.
"We are particularly pleased about the calibre of speakers we
have been able to secure for our tenth year.
"Having overseen such an exciting development in the shape of
The Cube, Neil Edginton is in a great position to discuss similar
projects and the challenges facing them in the future.
"He has also built up a strong reputation within the industry
which has seen him named in the Midlands Business Insider's '42
under 42', Property Week's 'Hot 50' and the 'Who's Who in Britain'
twice."
