Sven-Göran Eriksson has taken a piece of Leicester with him after leaving the city's football club, ditching his usual Italian designers in favour of a city centre based tailor to create a new suit for him.

The professional football manager usually has his bespoke garments made on the continent, but was recommended to go to Leicester-based Ketan Jethwa instead by a mutual business contact, whose suit he liked.

Ketan, at his business Tailoring UK based on Churchgate in the city centre, created a bespoke three-piece suit for Mr Eriksson, together with a set of tailored shirts.

The suit was created using super 160s premium luxury wool from renowned Savile Row cloth merchants Holland and Sherry. Ketan added an extravagant lining and intricate detailing, together with flash cuffs, functional buttonholes and covered buttons, as well as weaving Mr Eriksson's initials directly into the lining.

He said: "Ketan was able to create exactly what I wanted, and I could trust his expertise to suggest what would work and what wouldn't.

"The fit is absolutely perfect, the material is excellent and is just as good quality as I would be able to get from Italy or from a Savile Row tailor."

Mr Eriksson was also very pleased with the level of service that he received:

"Ketan knows how to provide a level of customer care that is rarely seen these days. The service is every bit as good as the very best places in the world," he said.

He also introduced Ketan to his son Johan, who has commissioned him to create more tailored suits.

Ketan Jethwa is the sixth generation of a family with over 100 years of tailoring experience. His business Tailoring UK has branches in Leicester and Cambridge, with an outlet in Derby, and provides Savile Row quality suits and service for much less expense.

The business is quickly becoming a place where various high profile figures go to for luxury clothes, such as former snooker world champion Neil Robertson, Leicester City goalkeeper Chris Weale and Secret Millionaire Kavita Oberoi.
