Derwent Living has revamped its website, and is making it easier
than ever for its residents to surf the site and find what they
need.
The Derby-based housing provider's website already attracts
thousands of hits each year and now, the new, improved website is
spacious and brightly coloured allowing for easier navigation. The
new design aims to allow customers to get anywhere on the website
in no more than three clicks.
The site has been tailored around the needs and views of Derwent
Living's residents using feedback from customer consultation
stretching back into the summer last year.
Residents can pay their rent, log repairs and even have their
say on issues that concern them. The new site's focus on engagement
and interaction is something the provider has been pushing in
recent times; bringing it in-line with the work that it does on
social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
Richard Cookson, head of ICT and finance said: "The new website
is the result of lots of customer feedback and testing. Residents
have been involved since the start and they are really pleased with
what has been achieved.
"We have simplified the layout and made the site much easier to
navigate. This is the first stage in the revamp of the website. In
the coming months we will be rolling out new functions which will
allow customers to view their rent statements online as well as
report and track repairs.
"The forthcoming developments on the site are designed to
function like an online banking system. Customers will be able to
bring together all aspects of their housing in one easy to use
website. Whether they want to check statements at 5am or track the
progress of a repair they will be able do so without needing to
wait until the contact centre or local office is open."
The new website is not just beneficial to current residents but
to the organisation's potential customers as well. Easier access to
search for available properties and details about them is just a
click away. The site also allows potential customers to set up a
viewing for any chosen property.
