A Cannock primary school is saying a big thank you to a local
printing firm this festive season, for its generous paper donations
throughout the year.
Digital printer, PRINTmonster, gives all of its leftover paper
to Landywood Primary School, free of charge, to keep its own
environmental impact low and the school's stationary cupboard
full.
The firm is helping its Corporate Social Responsibility with
these donations by not only helping the environment, but also
saving the school vital funds, which can be spent elsewhere, in
these financially troubling times.
PRINTmonster is trying to help with this by donating paper that
would otherwise be wasted.
Head teacher at Landywood Primary School John Withers said: "The
children and staff of Landywood Primary School would like to thank
PRINTmonster for the generous donations of paper and card over the
last few years. The last batch of paper was especially useful in
the run up to Christmas as it was used for decorations, cards and
scenery."
Stephanie Onion, Director at PRINTmonster, said: "We are
committed to improving our Corporate Social Responsibility. We are
happy to donate this unwanted resource to a local school and give
something back to the community. PRINTmonster also take
environmental issues very seriously and recycle everything we
possibly can. We are happy to be able to put this paper to good
use."
The print industry is estimated to be the fourth most polluting
industry in the UK.
