Nottingham law firm Rothera Dowson has announced the appointment
of a new assistant solicitor to the firm's family team.
Celia Lacey joins the team following three years at Hawley and
Rodgers Solicitors. With a total of 27 years experience, she has
developed a sound reputation for dealing with care proceedings and
other public law proceedings, including representation of
children.
A graduate of The University of Hull, Celia went on to gain her
legal qualifications in Nottingham. She later went on to work for
both Nottingham City Council and Nottingham Family Law
Associates.
Commenting on the appointment, Paul Cobb, partner and head of
Rothera Dowson's family law team, said:
"Celia is taking on a newly created role that will allow us to
expand our child care team. As well as expanding her existing
case-load, where she represents children through their guardians,
she will also be available to represent parents, grandparents and
other family members in care and family proceedings.
"This appointment underlines our continuing commitment to
assisting the most vulnerable members of our society, as well as to
legal aid at a time when its availability in family matters is
likely to be radically reduced in the near future."
Celia joins the team at Rothera Dowson's city centre offices in
the historic Lace Market. The firm also has offices in Beeston,
Mapperley, West Bridgford and Wollaton.
