PR-omising future for local firm

A Shropshire strategic public relations agency is gearing up for continued growth following a successful end to 2011.

Shrewsbury-based Zen Communications is aiming to expand its team after a string of contract wins in recent months, which has seen the firm add a number of retained clients, from both within the county and further afield, to its ever-expanding portfolio.

The agency, headed up by highly experienced duo Founder and Director Felicity Wingrove and fellow Director Rhiannon Williams, is now planning a second recruitment round in just over a year, as it looks to complement its team with additional staff to work alongside recently promoted PR Manager Chris Owens.

"Even though we have clients on our books from across the UK, Shropshire remains very much at the heart of our operation as an agency, and over the past few months we've noticed real signs of optimism amongst the local business community," commented Felicity Wingrove, who founded Zen Communications in 2007 on the back of a highly successful career in the industry, including time spent as Account Director at a major national PR agency, plus spells heading up the external communications departments of major FTSE100 businesses.

"We know there are some exciting new ventures in the county, not to mention the countless other more established businesses already doing great things, and we're finding more and more of these companies have a fantastic story to tell, which is of course, where we can help! We think it will be more of the same for 2012 as the economy continues to pick up, and we can't wait to help the 'next big things' get their message across," Felicity added.

Zen Communications is a results-driven strategic public relations and copywriting agency. Shropshire-based, but working with clients across the UK and internationally, it is home to a team of technically-trained writers with a proven track record of producing strong, distinctive, and creative copy. With clients spanning a variety of sectors - from construction and property, to professional services, healthcare, and food and drink - the agency works with businesses of all sizes, from sole traders and start-up firms, right the way through to well-established enterprises and FTSE100 companies.
