Bank's Northampton Financial Solutions Centre
A Northampton man with more than 20 years of experience in the
banking industry has returned to the town to become managing
partner at Yorkshire Bank.
Andrew Franklin started his career with Yorkshire Bank as a
cashier at the Gold Street branch in Northampton and went on to
enroll on the company's management training scheme.
And after enjoying spells as senior partner and managing partner
with the bank in High Wycombe, Andrew is now leading Yorkshire
Bank's Northampton Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) on Waterside
Way.
He will also continue to manage Clydesdale Bank's Milton Keynes
FSC - a role he has performed for the last two years.
The 39-year-old, who was born in Northampton and attended St
Christopher Hatton School in Wellingborough, takes over from Paul
Reeves who is now managing partner at Yorkshire Bank in
Birmingham.
"I've really enjoyed the last 21 years with Clydesdale and
Yorkshire Banks and am delighted to be back in my home town and
leading a hugely experienced team," he said.
"The bank has built a strong reputation across the Midlands and
I'm looking forward to building on the success Paul and his team
enjoyed and to be working closely with senior partner Pete
Trueman.
"From living and working in Northampton I obviously know the
area extremely well and the challenges facing the region and we're
actively looking to support trading and forward-thinking businesses
through our Investing for Growth initiative.
"Indeed our commitment is now stronger than ever as we continue
to attract growing numbers of small and medium sized
businesses.
"We delivered on our two-year promise to make £10 billion
of gross new lending available to business and personal customers
by October 2011 and I'm looking forward to playing a major role in
helping companies across Northamptonshire with their growth
plans."
Away from the workplace Andrew, who lives in Brafield on the
Green, is a keen golfer and also enjoys playing for a Sunday league
football team in Northampton.
