Experienced PR professional and former journalist Wayne Swiffin has launched his own public relations consultancy.

Wayne was latterly an account director at an award-winning Nottingham integrated communications agency but created his own business to focus on PR, media relations and copywriting.

Based at the i-Centre in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire Mandatum PR already has a number of retained clients across the UK operating in sectors including materials handling, warehousing, construction, property, professional services and printing.

He commented: "There are many businesses out there recognising they need to be shouting about what they are doing and shouting about it to the right people in the right way.

"I've started Mandatum PR so that I can proactively use my experience to help companies to do just that; whether it's online PR or traditional media, and I'll be using my knowledge and pragmatic approach to help raise their profiles and build their reputations."

And he added: "I think it's a great time to start a new business, particularly in PR, as it's challenging and rewarding in equal measure. I firmly believe there are opportunities around every corner for many businesses - including my own."

Wayne has led a number of national and international PR accounts, and has advised clients on best use of social media sites such as LinkedIn and Twitter.
