A Midlands IT company is expanding its' business support
subsidiary with £6 million funding from Barclays
Corporate.
Birmingham-based IML Technology is flourishing to such a degree
that the company is expanding its workforce with the creation of
one new employee each month on average. This is something that they
have achieved over the past two years and are optimistic that it
will carry on into 2012 if they can continue to recruit like-minded
staff for all areas of the business.
The business offers discounted hardware and IT technical support
and services to over 2,000 businesses across the country and has
enjoyed year on year growth from launch with turnover increasing
from £27 million in 2010 to £35 million in 2011.
In addition, they have recently expanded their logistics and
configuration centre, which again has been supported by Barclays
Corporate to the tune of £300,000.
Dean Leather, Managing Director said: "From the outset, I have
always set ambitious growth targets for the business and am
delighted that not only have we met these targets year on year, but
continued to exceed them. Our relationship with Barclays goes back
eight years and to me they have been more than bankers. They have
become trusted advisors to my business and I'm pleased that they
are continuing to provide financial support to enable us to develop
our strategic growth plans."
The business, which currently employs 45 staff and has offices
in both Birmingham and Nottingham is planning to open another in
Hertfordshire next summer creating further jobs. They are also
targeting Europe and have recently opened an office in Holland
(Utrecht) with further European offices planned by adding to this
in 2013.
Tom Horton, Relationship Director at Barclays Corporate said:
"Dean has expansive knowledge of the IT sector and has a clear
direction in which he wants to take his business. He has a robust
business plan setting out clear goals and objectives and if his
track record is anything to go by, he has the ability to ensure
this company becomes one of the fastest growing IT businesses in
the UK if not Europe."
The business was started by Birmingham-born Dean Leather in 2003
and since its inception has enjoyed impressive growth which looks
likely to continue as they plan to invoice £50 million by the
end of 2013. Dean puts the success down to recruiting like-minded
driven individuals who offer nothing short of the very best pricing
and service within the UK & Europe.
