Big-hearted Service Birmingham employees recently welcomed the Lord Mayor Cllr Anita Ward to their Headquarters with a further donation towards her charity appeal.

Cllr Ward toured the building and took the time to chat with employees as well as presenting the latest round of GEM employee recognition awards. She also officially accepted the £110 charitable donation which took the total amount raised this year by employees to £2500.

The Lord Mayor was given an insight into the work of the company which provides Birmingham City Council's ICT service as well as its contact centre and revenues department.

Cllr Ward said: "I want to thank Service Birmingham employees for their donations on the day and for welcoming me to their office. It was particularly interesting to hear about the work of the company and I hope to encourage more of my fellow councillors to visit."

Accompanying Cllr Ward, Service Birmingham's People Matters and Resourcing Director, Trevor Vaughan said: "We were delighted that the Lord Mayor found the time in her busy schedule to come and see us. We were more than happy to contribute towards her appeal and are delighted to have supported the charity this year."
