Midlands based estate agents, Marwood Independent Property Services, has joined forces with the reputed John Shepherd Lettings Group.

Marwood's Managing Director Gary Black will now head up the well-respected Cannock based operation.  Mr Black commented: "Marwood has built its excellent reputation based on solid local knowledge and commitment." He added, "I am planning to focus on these strengths whilst also adding new resources, investment and expertise to ensure that Marwood goes from strength to strength in the local and regional marketplace."

David Marklew who helped found Marwood will remain involved with the company as a consultant focussing on the commercial property side of the business.

John Shepherd Lettings Group has been trading for over 20 years and specialises in residential property letting and management covering Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, and Birmingham. 

Legal advice in relation to the acquisition of Marwood was provided by Lichfield and Cannock law firm Ansons, with Corporate Solicitor Jas Singh acting as lead advisor. "We are seeing the local market gradually beginning to show signs of improvement and in that context it's good to see Marwood's commitment to expand its estate agency and letting operations through the region," commented Mr Singh.
