a wide range of applications including different packaging
materials and pack sizes while delivering speeds of up to 15 cycles
per minute
Innovation and integration will be the focus of the Ishida
Europe stand at Anuga FoodTec with new and recently-launched
equipment that deliver packing line solutions to ensure faster
throughput, greater efficiencies and ease of use.
Highlights include the highly flexible Flex-Line modular
solution with individual pieces of equipment that can be combined
to create bespoke packing lines for specific customer requirements
as well as latest developments in checkweigher, multihead weigher
and X-ray technology,
The Ishida Flex-Line comprises a set of integrated modules
covering filling, sealing, checking and case-packing that fit
together to make up a variety of complete, high-efficiency tray
packing lines, capable of handling a wide range of applications
including different packaging materials and pack sizes while
delivering speeds of up to 15 cycles per minute. Two different
products - in terms of type, size and weight as well as tray, film
and MAP requirements - can be run simultaneously and independently
of each other.
Ishida's newest checkweigher, the DACS G, combines exceptional
speeds and high accuracy, and is able to switch easily between two
weighing ranges to allow food manufacturers to handle more products
on one machine. A unique Dislocating Force Limiter automatically
disconnects the weigh sensor from the weigh conveyor should sudden
excessive force be applied (for example during clean down),
protecting the checkweigher against rough handling. A choice of
colour touch screen or turn-and-press operating dial (that can be
used wearing gloves) is available to suit operator
requirements.
Like all models in the DACS range, the DACS-G can be easily
integrated with the Ishida Data Capture System (IDCS), a
user-friendly, secure software programme that records the data of
every pack weighed from up to 100 checkweighers into a single
secure database. The IDCS offers an extensive range of reporting
options to enable production managers to employ state-of-the-art
monitoring for legislative compliance while also identifying cost
saving opportunities, minimising product giveaway and improving
production efficiencies.
The sensitivity and accuracy of Ishida's X-ray technology means
it is being used for an increasing number of quality control
operations such as product grading by length, presence of clips,
voids in product, product deformation, missing or damaged pieces,
presence of bottle caps and fill-level control. Recent pioneering
applications have included detecting the absence of a wooden ice
cream stick and assessing the maturity of cheese. The IX-GA-2475
incorporates unique self-learning Genetic Algorithm (GA)
technology, which offers maximum detection sensitivity and
reliability, with the most sophisticated models detecting
impurities (such as metal, glass, bones, shells, stones, hard
rubber and plastic) down to 0.3mm in size.
Ishida's CCW-R multihead weigher technology features unique
combination calculation software, a 5-stage digital filter and
anti-floor vibration which enable the weigher to achieve high
accuracy at extremely fast speeds while using fewer hoppers than
comparable multihead models. As a result, the compact design on
show at Anuga FoodTec offers valuable space saving benefits while
delivering speeds in excess of 200 weighments per minute, handling
small target weights of snacks, nuts and confectionery.
