Chop & Wok noodle bar caused a frenzy on the opening day of
there new branch in Quinton on the 4th January with free food and a
chance to win an iPad.
Located on the Hagley Road West, Chop & Wok were giving away
free food from 12pm - 6pm, word spread fast as scores of people
lined the pavements throughout the day and continuous traffic
problems built-up around the surrounding roads as people rushed to
get their free food. Due to the huge demand waiting times peaked
into the hours which didn't phase most, as crowds inside the store
waited patiently for their order. The day saw hundreds of people
from all age groups and professions come together, from the local
bobby to nearby office workers and OAP's to School
pupils.
Aman Bhandal, Chop & Wok's Director said:
"Absolutely amazing what a turnout from the local residents and
working community. We knew it would be busy but we never expected
to cause traffic congestions or draw such big crowds. I'm so
pleased so many people turned up to support Chop & Wok and I
would like to say a big thank you to everyone for attending that
day and I hope that the residents of Quinton were not disrupted too
much with the surge in traffic and footfall."
