Nearly sixty years after it was bought as a 'farming retirement
project' the McCall family has recently completed the latest stage
of a multi million pound transformation at Wootton Park near Henley
in Arden, Warwickshire.
IanRoy McCall said:
"I guess you could say it has been a field of dreams. We've
always felt this was a special place and if we built an outstanding
venue here, then people would come."
Sitting in its own 360 acre valley of beautiful rolling
countryside, the original family farm is now a thriving business
centre and events venue offering top quality accommodation in the
16th Century farmhouse.
To celebrate the launch of the recently completed TWENTY-10
events venue, fourth generation Mark McCall hosted a showcase event
for over fifty guests from the region's business community. The
conference provided an opportunity to see what Wootton Park can
offer to business leaders and included an inspirational talk from
David Hyner of Stretch Development, an interactive team building
session, a networking lunch and a presentation from IanRoy and Mark
McCall telling the story of the transformation at Wootton Park.
Delegates at the conference gave very positive feedback with
comments such as "I really like the combination of rural features
such as the little island in the lake and ample outside space with
the convenience of the high tech conference room facility and easy
access by motorway and rail. This makes it a totally unique
business venue for local, national and international visitors."
Designed to retain all the Victorian character of its
surroundings, TWENTY-10 has a contemporary interior with a balcony,
landscaped patio and stunning views across open countryside.
Whilst Wootton Park has already established itself as a sought
after wedding venue - most weekends in 2012 are booked for wedding
parties - the TWENTY-10 venue is set to attract a new business
audience looking for something a bit different. Mark McCall
said
"We've found that business people welcome the opportunity to
come to an inspiring location that provides open space and
versatile room settings where teams can come for training, product
launches, away days and team building sessions. They appreciate
being looked after carefully whether their event is a small meeting
with a formal dinner or a large scale conference with a pig roast
and team games."
"Holding the showcase event was immensely positive as well as an
opportunity to develop a working relationship with experienced
conference organiser, Rose Padmore of Opening Doors & Venues
and other highly respected event partners including LNP Sound, Mike
Pagan, BastockFirth, Fews Marquees, Exposure Photography and DLE
Catering. It has certainly opened the door to new exciting
opportunities for all of us and I'm delighted that the feedback
included words like "inspiring", "full of energy" and "uplifting"
because we feel this reflects what we are about and the time is
right for Wootton Park to welcome new people looking for new light
through old windows!"
