and the Brayford Pool.
Diners can choose from a mouth-watering menu of modern British
cuisine which includes classic dishes with a contemporary twist
such as posh fish & chips: pan-fried fillet of halibut, confit

pan juices and deconstructed lemon meringue pie with lime leaf
ice-cream.
Also on the fifth floor is the rooftop ballroom, which can
accommodate up to 300 guests, and a further 500m² of flexible
events space designed to cater for meetings and exhibitions as well
as conferences and weddings.
Developer Leigh Hall from Brayford Hotels said he is delighted
that the hotel has welcomed its first guests: "The DoubleTree by
Hilton Lincoln is designed to provide the city with a luxurious and
welcoming space which is contemporary but still in keeping with the
surrounding landscape and architecture.
"The hotel will boost the city's offering to tourists and
provide a world-class hotel facility for both residents and
businesses to enjoy."
Visit Lincoln Partnership Manager Emma Tatlow said the opening
of the new DoubleTree by Hilton is a huge and welcome boost for
Lincoln.
"We are delighted that such an investment has been made in
Lincoln, particularly during such challenging economic times," said
Emma.
"This investment coupled with other developments across the city
including the recent green light for the Lincoln Eastern bypass and
the accolade for Steep Hill of Britain's Great Street 2012 really
does mean the time is now for Lincoln.
"We look forward to working with the team at the DoubleTree by
Hilton to promote Lincoln to new audiences and raise the profile of
this city."
