Local business The Art File recently benefited from the services
of Barclays Business and Change Acceptance Managers Alan Mele and
Kathryn Fetherston as they spent the day working alongside their
customer as part of a pledge to find out "first hand" about their
client's needs and the range of issues facing local businesses.
Alan and Kathryn got involved with the company's order
processing team, taking orders over the phone and working with the
design team where they were required to think creatively!
Alan Mele, Barclays Business Manager in Nottingham said, "As
champions of local business, Barclays is committed to supporting
the local economy and I am committed to finding out more about my
client's business to help Ged and his team achieve their ambitions.
The more we know and learn about our customers the better, enabling
us to provide the right levels of support and advice when required.
This initiative is taking place up and down the country and is one
of a range of measures to support our Business Banking customers to
achieve their goals and grow their business."
Ged Mace, Managing Director of The Art File said "During these
difficult times it is essential that you maintain close links with
your bank and ensure they have a genuine understanding of your
business. This initiative has been a great success and allows my
bank to fully understand my business and the issues I face on a day
to day basis."
The Art File recently won an award at the prestigious Henries at
London's Lancaster Gate Hotel. These awards which represent the
best in British greeting card design are judged by a panel of over
30 of the leading high street and independent card retailers across
the UK including John Lewis, Paperchase and Waitrose. The Art File
fought off tough competition from over 300 publishers to win Best
Occasions and Relations Range. Ged Mace, MD of The Art File
commented 'We were thrilled to have won this award as the UK leads
the world in greeting card design. Being recognised at this level
is a great feeling for everyone involved with the company'.
