A fast growing financial services firm is moving its Midlands
headquarters to Blythe Valley Park just ahead of its 20 year
anniversary.
Atkin & Co is moving to the business park off Junction 4 of
the M42 as part of the latest stage of its company-wide expansion
which has also seen the firm open new offices in London.
The pension scheme administrator and actuarial consultant is
moving to 5,300 sq ft offices in Cornwall House on the business
park after 13 years based at Hatton in Warwickshire.
Managing director Chris Atkin said the firm, which will mark 20
years in business in February, is enjoying a strong period in its
history.
"Over the last two years we have seen an unprecedented amount of
growth across the business which led to us taking the decision to
move to bigger offices," he said.
"The last year alone has seen our client base rise by almost 20
per cent, and we are now representing close to 100 clients spread
across the country.
"The opening of the new office at Blythe Valley Park reflects
not only this expansion but also the further potential for growth
in the region."
Atkin said a team of around 30 will be based at Cornwall
House.
"We are fortunate to have such a dedicated and enthusiastic team
to meet these exciting new opportunities and further grow the
business," he added.
"This is clearly a very exciting time for our organisation and
we believe the success we've enjoyed directly reflects how pension
schemes and trustees are now approaching their provider
selection.
"It is no longer just about the 'big players', but about schemes
more carefully aligning themselves with organisations who are best
placed to provide them with the tailored and bespoke service
crucial to their schemes."
Kate Smith, from Liberty Property Trust UK, which develops and
manages Blythe Valley Park in partnership with Doughty Hanson &
Co Real Estate, said Atkin & Co is well placed to continue
their rapid expansion from the park.
"It is refreshing to see an SME performing so well during what
remains a very challenging period for businesses," she
said.
"Atkin & Co has enjoyed a successful period and we look
forward to working closely with Chris and his team as the
organisation continues to expand its operations from its new home
on the park."
Blythe Valley Park is set in 257 acres, which includes a
countryside park, and has also welcomed Store Twenty One and Kier
to the park in recent months.
