competition
Coming up with a design for this year's corporate Christmas card
was child's play for one Midland law firm.
Leamington solicitors Wright Hassall appealed for help from
local schoolchildren to submit Christmas card designs and Bishops
Tachbrook C of E Primary, Kingsway Community Primary, Our Lady's
Princethorpe and Westgate Primary School responded.
Entries were submitted into three categories corresponding to
pupils' school years - one and two, three and four and five and six
- and a winner from each category was rewarded with tickets to a
Christmas pantomime while participating schools received a cash
donation.
Jacob Wall from Our Lady's Princethorpe, Anna Cross from
Kingsway Community Primary School and Alise Kuske from Westgate
Primary School were the overall winners.
Tara King from Wright Hassall led the competition and is
delighted with the final designs that will now end up in the
mailboxes of clients all over the world.
She said: She said: "It can be a struggle to come up with a
suitable design for a corporate Christmas card.
"We felt this would be a nice way to try something different
this year and an opportunity to develop links with local
schools.
"It was interesting to see how different schools approached the
challenge. Some did it in the classroom while others set it as
homework or an optional task.
"All the designs were lovely and really different and you can
see how much work went into them. All the entries are on display in
the reception of our Olympus Avenue headquarters.
"They will soon go out to more than 2,000 clients and contacts
and the winners each get five tickets to see the pantomime
performance of Cinderella at the Birmingham Hippodrome as a thank
you.
"Runners-up will receive book tokens and we are also making a
donation to each school as a thank you to them for
participating."
