The Clumber Park Hotel and Spa based in Nottinghamshire, part of
the Bespoke Hotel group, has just announced the appointment of a
new General Manager.
Norbert Angerer, originally from Munich in Germany, brings to
the hotel a wealth of international experience from previous
employment at four and five star hotels based all around the
world.
Now living in Syston, Leicestershire and having worked at
prestigious venues such as the Birmingham Metropole, the Ramada
Renaissance in Brighton and the Carlton in Johannesburg, he's keen
to implement his abundance of experience at the Clumber Park Hotel
and Spa.
With a strong background in the hospitality industry spanning
twelve years in countries including Ghana and Mauritius, his
excellent management skills have been honed more recently at
various hotels throughout the UK, and he hopes to consolidate the
hotel's position as one of the best venues located right in the
heart of the international tourist hotspot of Sherwood Forest.
"I'm absolutely delighted to be appointed as General Manager and
am already very impressed with what I've seen of the hotel so far,"
says Norbert.
"It's situated in an absolutely stunning part of the UK in Robin
Hood country with great facilities, the staff are very professional
and the ethos is one of strong family values," he continues.
"My goal is to simply build upon all of these and strengthen
them so that the operations of the hotel are not only the best that
they can possibly be, but that they also create the most welcoming
destination for corporate and leisure guests when staying in the
area."
Previous employment in various different countries has resulted
in Norbert becoming fluent in several different languages, German,
English and French, enabling him to do something that he sees as
crucial - engage with both guests and colleagues.
"Some hotel managers can often be very office based and not
readily available to either guests or staff and it's not an
approach I advocate at all. I want my guests to know who I am and
feel able to approach me any time, for anything - likewise my work
colleagues," explains Norbert.
"A hotel is essentially a home away from home and so it's
paramount that when people set foot in The Clumber Park Hotel and
Spa they feel welcomed."
