PwC in the Midlands has entered into the festive spirit, making
more than 200 charitable donations through the firm's annual
'Caring at Christmas' appeal.
The appeal, which encourages staff to provide gifts to be
donated to local charities, has been running for more than seven
years and continues to go from strength to strength.
This year 250 presents, ranging from clothes, toys and books to
kitchen utensils and toiletries, were collected by the appeal. The
gifts will be presented to children up to 14 years at a Christmas
party at the Sure Start children's centre in Edgbaston. The
donations will also be used within Homeless Starter Packs for St
Basils, a local agency that helps disadvantaged young people to get
back onto their own feet.
Fiona Kelsey, Community Affairs leader at PwC in the Midlands,
said:
"Despite the many years that PwC has been taking part in the
'Caring at Christmas' appeal, we continue to be overwhelmed by the
generosity that has been shown. Both Sure Start and St. Basils were
grateful to receive the donations and we hope that they help to
spread some festive cheer."
