A long-established panel manufacturer has been forced to cease
trading after becoming a victim of the tough economic climate.
Exitile Limited, in Jodrell Street, Nuneaton, is to close with
the loss of around 45 jobs. The company produced panels designed to
allow easy entry into ceiling voids and cavities where access is
required for maintenance or emergency procedures.
Martin Coyne and Matthew Hardy of Poppleton & Appleby, which
has offices in Birmingham and Coventry, have been appointed as
administrators of the company.
Martin Coyne, senior partner at Poppleton & Appleby, said:
"Exitile Limited has fallen victim to the harsh economic climate
and is, unfortunately, no longer a sustainable business.
"We are now working with the directors to fully assess the
situation and are looking to progress things as quickly and
efficiently as possible. There has been some initial interest
in the business and it is therefore a possibility that there may be
scope for continuity to the brand.
"We are working closely with the local Jobcentre Plus, who were
invited and attended our meeting with the workforce upon our
appointment, to offer support and advice to the former
employees."
