A young family lawyer who qualified at the unusually young age
of 23 has been promoted to Senior Solicitor at the Oswestry
practice where she completed her training.
Alison Monaghan joined GHP Legal in their Willow Street offices
in 2004 on a two year training contract and became a fully
qualified solicitor in 2006.
A former head girl of Holywell High School, Alison realised a
long time dream to study law when she won a scholarship to
University of Wales Aberystwyth. After graduating with an Honours
degree she went on to Cardiff School of Law before completing her
training at GHP Legal.
After becoming a Solicitor Alison specialised in matrimonial law
and undertook additional training in separating couples and
children matters, she is also a member of Resolution, a specialist
group of just 5000 lawyers in the UK who are family law experts
with experience in resolving family disputes in the constructive
and cost-effective way of out-of-court negotiations.
Congratulating Alison on her promotion to Senior Solicitor, head
of department John Lancaster said: "To gain recognition for her
achievements at such a young age is testament to Alison's passion
for the job, her keenness to learn and her natural ability to
communicate with her clients. Alison's achievement is even more
commendable because she is working within one of the largest family
law teams in Shropshire, North and Mid Wales and the North
West."
