One of the UK's leading chamber orchestras Orchestra of the Swan
has hit a high note by forming a unique corporate partnership with
Chiltern Railways.
Chiltern passengers can enjoy special offers on concert tickets
while Orchestra of the Swan will benefit from the company's
marketing support now that Chiltern Railways has become the
orchestra's Principal Rail Partner.
The rail franchise runs services from London Marylebone station
to both Moor Street and Stratford-upon-Avon where the orchestra has
residencies.
Since September 2011, Chiltern has reduced journey times to Moor
Street with two trains an hour - with the fastest time now only 90
minutes.
David Curtis, Orchestra of the Swan Artistic Director, said:
"Chiltern Railways shares our passion for being innovative and
forward-looking while maintaining traditional customer values which
is why we especially welcome the company as our new Principal Rail
Partner."
Ian Baxter, Customer Services Director for Chiltern Railways,
said: "We are delighted to be supporting such an innovative and
accessible orchestra at a time when we have just made major
improvements to our Moor Street to Marylebone service."
Chiltern has also signed up as a Symphony Circle member of
Orchestra of the Swan's new Corporate Partnership programme,
joining leading, finance, construction and professional
organisations in enjoying the top scale of benefits under the
scheme.
The innovative business support programme offers membership from
Associate up to Sonata, Concerto or Symphony Circle level with
benefits accruing on a sliding scale from as little as £250 a
year.
Associate Partners receive complimentary concert tickets to
OOTS's Stratford-upon-Avon, Birmingham or London subscription
series, with an invitation to the interval and post-concert
receptions. They also receive the orchestra's latest recordings, a
quarterly newsletter and their gift acknowledgement in the concert
programme.
David Curtis said: "Our new Corporate Partnership programme is
aimed at helping businesses to boost their target markets, enhance
brand awareness, build business relationships and strengthen their
reputations for corporate citizenship.
"We are delighted that so many companies have signed up to this
programme, which comes with our ability to help create bespoke
packages for client entertainment, corporate promotion or community
project involvement."
Orchestra of the Swan, which has appointed outstanding young
pianist Benjamin Grosvenor as its new Associate Artist and has
cellist Julian Lloyd Webber as a regular soloist, is in its fifth
season as Artists in Residence at Town Hall Birmingham. It has
developed an outstanding worldwide reputation for the quality of
its recordings.
