The new 2012 desk and wall calendars from National Mobile
Windscreens, which has branches in Birmingham, Halesowen and
Coventry, will help to combat meningitis and septicaemia which kill
more than 300 people every year in the UK.
The latest edition comes with a symptoms card which identifies
the vital danger signs of the disease which affects 3,400 people in
the UK and can kill within hours.
The new calendar is being distributed just when cases of deadly
bacterial meningitis start to peak during the winter months. The
symptoms card will reach more than 15,000 clients.
Martyn Bennett, Sales and Marketing Director of National Mobile
Windscreens said: "Meningitis research has been our chosen charity
for over 20 years and we have helped to raise thousands of pounds
toward research into this deadly disease.
"We are featuring the symptoms card as part of our campaign to
raise awareness of the disease and the vital work undertaken by the
Meningitis Research Foundation.
"Our objective is to ensure that the symptoms card is always
readily available. This could assist early diagnosis and help to
save lives."
Kate Baldwin, Corporate Fundraising Officer at Meningitis
Research Foundation, said: "We are so grateful for National Mobile
Windscreen's ongoing support for our work. Until there is a vaccine
for all types of meningitis, raising awareness of the symptoms is
the best way to save lives from this disease. By distributing
symptoms cards to so many people, the company is really helping us
to fight this devastating disease."
