An award-winning estate agency in Lincoln has expanded its
residential lettings department by acquiring another highly
successful property management firm.
Mundys, which was recently named Best Estate Agency and Best
Letting Agency in Lincolnshire at the UK Property Awards, has
purchased PPM Lets which is being integrated into Mundys'
Residential Lettings department.
Mundys Partner Steven Spivey explained how delighted they were
to have acquired this successful business which specialised in
residential lettings and property management within the popular
waterside development of Burton Waters.
"Mundys is a long-standing agency in Lincoln and has been
letting and managing property in the city for over 50 years. Our
staff are very experienced and our qualified surveyors, property
managers and accounts team understand the needs of both landlords
and tenants."
PPM Lets was established by Freya Leary three years ago and
together with her mother Lorraine Pountney she expanded the
business rapidly to become the major residential lettings and
management agent on Burton Waters.
"Freya and I decided that the time was right to sell the
business," explained Lorraine.
"However, we only wanted to sell it to a reputable company that
would continue to offer the high standard of service provided by
PPM Lets to landlords and tenants over the years and discussions
with Mundys resulted in a successful sale."
Mundys has seen an unprecedented rise in the number of enquiries
for properties to let in the last 12 months.
"The rental market is extremely buoyant at present because many
people prefer the flexibility of shorter term, more flexible living
or simply can't afford the deposit needed to buy their own home,"
explained Steven.
"Being RICS and ARLA members, we have built our reputation on an
extremely high standard of customer care, ensuring that our
clients' properties are looked after to the highest possible
standard and that rent is paid promptly.
