Owned by Morris Property, 2 Lower Claremont Bank has been let to new tenants Panacea who have opened a contemporary Indian restaurant, offering a premier dining experience, excellent service and a wide range of authentic Indian cuisine.

Run by Abdul Salam and chef Jahir Udin, the 2,378 sq ft restaurant premises has been let at £25,000 per annum for a 15 year lease by Charles Howell at Commercial Property Agents Pooks. The restaurant has a state of the art catering kitchen and two dining areas, seating 74. The rear dining space overlooks Victoria Quay with wonderful views of the river Severn.

Charles Howell commented: "Pooks received a lot of interest in this property, reflecting its prominent town centre position and we are very pleased to see investment in a quality operation."

Panacea presents an extensive a la carte menu with many house specialties, ranging from the traditional dishes of Jalfrezi and Rogan Josh, to the more unusual, such as Lime Ginger Sea Bass. Abdul Salam said: "We are delighted to bring our own individual taste of India to Shrewsbury."
