Mobile Money on the move

Logbook loans specialist Mobile Money is expanding its Redditch operation - with the help of agents John Truslove.

It has moved from premises in Windsor Road to 2,545sq ft offices at 62 Birchfield Road, taken on a five year lease.

And there are plans to consolidate its second location in the town at Hewell Road into the new facility, possibly next year.

That would bring the 20-strong Redditch workforce on to one site.

Mobile Money was founded in October 1998 in Redditch and its head office is still based in the town. It has 33 branches across England and Wales.

It allows people to raise money against the value of their car, borrowing from £200 up to £25,000, depending on the vehicle's value and the individual's ability to repay. A vehicle buyback service is also available.

Operations director Simon Furnival said: "Mobile Money is one of the leading UK logbook loan lenders. Our branches offer same day cash.

"The West Midlands is an important area for us, it is where it all began and we are delighted to be able to grow our Redditch business, further developing our head office functions."

The new two-storey offices are in the Headless Cross area of Redditch.

John Truslove said: "We were very pleased to be able to help out a successful business like Mobile Money. I am sure they will go from strength to strength."

The original concept of logbook loans came from Australia but Mobile Money has built the operation in the UK and now boasts sales of £18 million.
