A partnership between two local business coaches and mentors,
Leigh Dorling of Cognisi based in Derby and John Collins of
Synergos based in Nottingham has been approved by mentorsme to
provide mentoring services to local businesses.
mentorsme.co.uk is operated by the Business Finance Taskforce
(BFD), which has been set up by the British Bankers' Association
and is made up of five banks: Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group,
Royal Bank of Scotland and Santander
mentorsme.co.uk is Britain's first online gateway designed to
help small and medium-sized enterprises find local mentoring
services. The free site offers businesses access to a list of
quality-assured business mentoring organisations with the objective
of helping businesses confidently find specialist mentors to suit
their needs in a fast and easy way.
Leigh says "John and I are very happy to have been approved by
mentorsme. We have both delivered mentoring and coaching support to
a wide range of SME's for several years in the region and are just
one of three east midlands companies approved by the BFD. We are
proud to be able to offer mentoring support through this programme
to a wide variety of local business people"
"At Cognisi-Synergos we are passionate about helping businesses
improve and helping business owners and managers achieve their
goals more quickly than they will do themselves. We currently
mentor and coach a wide variety of business people both in the
private and public sectors as well as helping start-up businesses
through Nottingham Trent University's Centre for Entrepreneurship
and Enterprise - The Hive."
With Business Link no longer offering face to face business
advice and EMDA's High Growth support programme currently no longer
running, the Mentorsme site will provide businesses with a new
source of quality business support.
