UK security specialist, Lincoln Security is celebrating the
successes of one of its employees this month.
Sean Falkinder, has gained a credit at level one on the Guild of
Architectural Ironmongery (GAI) during his first year on a course
to become a Registered Architectural Ironmonger (Reg AI).
The GAI diploma is the only recognised programme in the UK that
leads to a qualification in ironmongery specification.
Sean will also have to complete years two and three, which will
involve a mixture of course work, residential courses and final
examinations, to successfully achieve his diploma and Reg AI
status.
As well as learning the skills on architectural ironmongery, the
course also covers areas such as finance and business studies.
On successful completion of the course Sean will become a
qualified architectural ironmonger with knowledge ranging from
products and their properties, standards that certain
productsconform to and the design and writing of specifications
both tactically andlegally.
Sean currently works closely with Jason Healy, contracts manager
at Lincoln Security, who as well as studying for the Guild of
Architectural Ironmongers' three-year diploma was also presented
with the Guild's bronze medal in his final year. Jason is currently
the only registered architectural ironmonger in Lincoln and one of
only a handful in the county.
Speaking of his achievement Sean said: "I am delighted to have
successfully completed level one of the course and hope to build on
my success. Jason has been an excellent mentor for me and I am
looking forward to the next two years."
Jason Healy commented: "We are very proud of Sean for his
accomplishment and wish him every success during the next phase of
the course.
"Here at Lincoln Security we recognise the importance of a
skilled workforce to deliver high quality, effective security
solutions to our clients and have invested in the training of our
staff to achieve this."
