One of Leicestershire's largest independent estate agencies and
chartered surveyors has announced that it is expanding its land and
planning department. Joe Welch is the latest addition to the team
of qualified town planners and chartered surveyors at the Market
Harborough branch of Andrew Granger & Co with his recent
qualification from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
(RICS).
"With the government continuing to push through planning reform
it has led to an even greater requirement for landowners to review
and seek professional advice on their land holdings," comments
Fritz Graves, Head of Planning at Andrew Granger & Co. "We are
delighted that Joe has passed his Assessment of Professional
Competence with flying colours and will be able to add to our pool
of planning expertise in this matter."
Joe, from Gaulby Leicestershire, completed a degree in Property
Development and Planning at Bristol University of the West of
England and has previously worked for Westleigh Developments based
at Whetstone and also Savills (L&P). He joined Andrew Granger
& Co in June 2010.
"The RICS is such a well respected organisation across the world
and sets rigorous standards for our profession," comments Joe. "I'm
delighted to have passed the APC and to be joining such an
established and experienced team at Andrew Granger & Co."
The company, which has three branches across Leicestershire, has
a total of seven RICS qualified surveyors. It offers a range of
services including surveying and planning as well as sales and
letting of agricultural, commercial and residential property across
the East Midlands and beyond.
The RICS is the foremost global organisation for professionals
working in property and construction and aims to ensure the
application of high professional standards across the industry.
Surveyors with an RICS qualification are regularly monitored
to ensure that they comply with strict codes of practice.
