The Derby Trading Estate has attracted a trio of tenants,
following a makeover of the site.
Acting jointly with Gadsby Orridge, Derby property agent Innes
England has let units 8 and 9 on the estate following refurbishment
works, which has seen both units extended to approximately 1,700 sq
ft.
Unit 8 has been let to the Grow Room as part of its expansion
program. The Grow Room is one of the UK's largest suppliers of
hydroponic growing equipment and sells a variety of composts, tanks
and supplies.
Daniel Hemsley, managing director from the Grow Room says: "We
have had a base in Leicester for ten years, and due to growth, we
decided to expand and saw a potential market in Derby. We are
really pleased with the location, as there is good access for our
customers, and is just what we were looking for."
Unit 9 has been let to Jim and Anne Coppen, who are opening a
franchise of Jaspers catering. Jaspers offers a high quality food
service for office catering. The Coppen's will now fit out
the unit for food preparation.
Jim Coppen from Jaspers says: "We were looking for something
that had a central location and a lot of space for our food prep.
The trading estate is clean and modern and really fits well with
our corporate image."
Unit 22, also comprising some 1,700 sq ft, has been let to the
National Car Cleaning Company, which runs a professional car
cleaning and valeting service from the unit. The business covers
the local area taking advantage of the large number of car
dealerships within the vicinity.
Tim Richardson from Innes England acted on behalf of landlord
Whittle Jones and says: "Derby Trading Estate is in an excellent
location having frontage to both the A61 (Sir Frank Whittle Road),
which provides high visibility to a busy arterial road into the
city centre and Stores Road, which in itself is a popular trade
counter location.
"The estate is well maintained and managed thereby enabling
tenants to concentrate on running their businesses. Leases can be
agreed quickly allowing early access and offering flexible terms.
The landlord also retains responsibility for external maintenance
of the buildings and roofs, common areas, roadways and the like,
taking the worry away from the tenants."
There are currently two units remaining available, of
approximately 2,500 sq ft each, both in prominent positions on the
estate.
