Highlighting the increasingly important role that 24 hour live
in support plays in the West Midlands' care sector, Alcester based
live in care provider Helping Hands has appointed two expert
advisors who will provide guidance and consultation on key areas of
the business strategy.
Dr Robert Heaven and Dr Rekha Elaswarapu will join Helping Hands
as Special Advisors on January 1st 2012. They will help shape the
organisation's future policies on a range of important aspects such
as emotional well-being, dignity and nutrition. They will
also help to develop training programmes for Helping Hands carers
and managers in these specialist areas.
Robert Heaven is a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist with over 15
years experience of working with individuals, groups and couples.
He has worked with and provided services to many clients including;
American Express, Police & Emergency Services, Queen Alexandra
Hospital Homes, British Airways, Virgin Airways, ITV (Jeremy Kyle
Show).
Dr Elaswarapu Ph.D. MIHM was instrumental in the development of
the National Stroke Strategy, National Carers Strategy and National
Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) quality standards for
dementia; she was also heavily involved in the development of the
NHS project on dignity in care for older people in hospital.
