A Midlands sport and leisure charity is kick-starting the New
Year fitness drive early to help members stick to their
resolutions.
Coventry Sports Foundation has announced a raft of incentives
for new and existing members of the organisation's Lifestyles
Health and Fitness club in a bid to encourage more people to get
active and enter 2012 with a bang.
Maureen Bell, Lifestyles membership sales manager at Coventry
Sports Foundation, said: "We all know the Christmas period usually
goes hand-in-hand with over-indulgence and more than a few of us
pile on a few unwanted pounds!
"By announcing these rewards, some of which are already
available and some which start in January, we are hopeful new and
existing members will be able to enjoy the Christmas period that
little bit more, knowing they have a solution to get back into
shape straight after.
"We want to provide the best possible value for our members and
we think these additional benefits help us to do that. Coventry
Sports Foundation is more than just a gym, with free access to
swimming, sauna, steam and spa facilities as well as classes.
"Members can take advantage of our added value benefits at any
of our three centres, and with Christmas coming up, Lifestyles
Health and Fitness membership would be an ideal present to treat
yourself or a loved one."
The Foundation, which manages Centre AT7, in Bell Green Road;
the Alan Higgs Centre, in Allard Way; and the Xcel Leisure Centre,
in Mitchell Avenue, is also offering additional incentives to join
and keep fit, such as big discounts on badminton and tennis courts,
food and function room hire.
Parents and families who want to stay active can take advantage
of a free crèche while they exercise as well as discounted
children's activities, family events and private hire of The
Coventrian narrow boat for parties, events and family
celebrations.
Members will also be rewarded with free 'lite' breakfasts and
have access to unlimited free on-site parking.
