Keith Prowse, the UK's leading hospitality provider, expects
corporate hospitality to thrive at Edgbaston Stadium for the three
international fixtures in 2012, after launching new facilities in
the £32 million Pavilion Stand in August when England
defeated India in the third npower Test Match.
With the summer victory at Edgbaston taking England to number 1
in the Test match World Rankings, hospitality sales have made a
strong start for Edgbaston's Third Investec Test match between
England v West Indies (Thursday 7th June - Monday 11th June).
Keith Prowse also predict that corporate demand at the venue -
where England have lost just one Test Match in the last 10 years -
could be heightened by recent property sales in Birmingham, with
£260 million invested in inner city office space in the last
quarter, representing an 18-fold increase.
Ted Walker, Head of Marketing at Keith Prowse said: "Much like
the New Street Gateway and Eastside transformation projects, which
are currently in development, the new Edgbaston will also have a
huge impact on the future economy of Birmingham.
"We've enjoyed a good start to sales of our hospitality
packages, and are encouraged by the recent property sales in the
city. The sale of The Mailbox, Two Snowhill and 120 Edmund Street
represent a fresh interest in Birmingham as a place to do business,
with corporate entertaining expected to flourish as a result.
"We've provided the Midlands with a world class entertaining
option on a par with packages at our other iconic events such as
the RBS 6 Nations and The Championships, Wimbledon."
Birmingham's corporate community gave the new facilities a
resounding thumbs up after summer 2011's memorable Test match
between England and India, with Keith Prowse recorded a score of
92.16 per cent across several categories - including quality of
service and food & drink - in a customer questionnaire.
Keith Prowse has raised the bar for hospitality in the Midlands,
introducing a range of packages to the new facilities at Edgbaston
in the Jaguar Club, The 1882 Club, Executive Boxes and The
Edgbaston Suite, situated in the new Pavilion Stand. Corporates can
listen to cricket celebrity speakers in the Jaguar Club and enjoy
the exclusivity of a private balcony in the Executive Boxes or fine
dining in the 1882 Club, located behind the bowler's arm on the 2nd
tier of the new stand.
