Two organisations working within the construction and the built
environment have appointed Eden Public Relations to deliver
national and regional communications campaigns.
Scape, a local authority controlled company based in Nottingham,
is moving into the next phase of its development. The firm is at
the forefront of driving down UK public sector building procurement
costs, and is playing an important role in these times of austerity
in helping public bodies across the UK save money in buying in
building services.
OPUN, the Architecture Centre for the East Midlands, has
recently achieved charitable status, and is keen to consolidate its
position as the leading source of design expertise within the
region. The independent organisation is hosted by De Montfort
University in Leicester. It offers a range of services to enable
local authorities, developers and communities create buildings and
places that meet the social, environmental and economic aspirations
of local people.
Both firms are keen to raise their profiles further amongst
their target stakeholders, and have brought Eden in as a long
established company in the City of Nottingham and the wider region.
Eden has built a reputation on managing national and regional
client accounts requiring 'on the doorstep' client servicing
without compromising on sector expertise or strategic best
practice.
The campaigns for Scape and OPUN have very different objectives
but use Eden's strategic credentials in promoting various
initiatives.
Award winning Scape is currently working with partners on
projects such as the new joint service centre in St Anns,
Nottingham, and the Carlton Digby School redevelopment in
Mapperley.
Mark Robinson, Chief Executive Officer of Scape, said: "As
budgets are being cut across the public sector, we realised there
was more we could do to showcase the benefits of our products and
services. Eden offers the right expertise and experience, and we're
delighted to be working with them."
OPUN continues to offer affordable, expert, independent and
confidential support via its Design Review Panel. This helps to
bring high profile development proposals effectively through the
planning application process.
Julie Tanner, Chief Executive of OPUN, commented: "New or
refurbished buildings and places leave lasting legacies for future
generations, so time spent on ensuring good quality design is
crucial. The team at Eden understand our work, as well as the
current challenges we face, and are coming up with creative ways of
highlighting what we do in an interesting and relevant way."
Isabel Jones, Joint Managing Director at Eden added: "It's
fantastic to be working with both Scape and OPUN. Both
organisations have great stories to tell in terms of what they
offer their clients, and Eden is delighted to be delivering
effective press and PR support to help build their reputation in
support of their ongoing business plans."
